- Activities Update
- Staff Appreciation –Luncheon will be held on May 3 and volunteers are needed to donate food, and to help with the event. Please contact Sara Beth LePere to offer help.
- DVD Sales – Video permission forms have been sent out for the upcoming kindergarten musical. Discussed placing forms in registration packets for next year. 4th grade DVDs have been distributed to 4 out of the 5 classes so far. Robert Lawton showed us a version of printed labels as an option to light scribing them.
- Recycling Program – Results from our collection contest are in; Mrs. Scott’s and Mrs. Hilden’s classes have tied for first place, and Mrs. Pate’s class came in third. 123 cartridges were collected, 68 of those were unmarked and couldn’t be added to class counts. The next contest will run from January 18 – April 15, and a note will be sent out requesting that all donated cartridges be labeled properly to insure class credit. So far we have earned $226.50 from this program.
- Spirit Sales – Next sale will be held the end of February, this will probably be the last sale of the school year.
- Milk Child ID Program – Free digital ID photos will be offered during Family Reading Night, along with free software installation. This program will allow immediate transfer of emergency information to law enforcement authorities in the event that a child goes missing. This program will also be offered during our Spring Fling.
- Spring Fling – Will be held on April 27 from 5:30-8:00pm. Volunteers are needed for ticket sales, games, set-up, prize patrol, and everything else related to this fun event. Please contact Kelly Cooper to donate your time at 345-2933.
- Family Reading Night – Will be held on February 21 from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
- Playground Update – Fulford will probably be re-grading the land, putting in an asphalt running trail, and doing the drain tile. Parks Department will begin work on the soccer and baseball fields in the spring so that they will be ready for next spring. We will be covering the cost for soccer goals and the baseball backstop at an estimated cost of $6,700. It was proposed that we reinvest our current CD until next year, and that we put $5000.00 of this year’s budgeted playground money into an additional CD in order to have those funds available to cover these purchases. The remaining budgeted funds would cover the purchase of mats for under the swings this year. We will bring this up for a vote at the next general meeting.
- 501c3 Update –– Stephanie Boehning has offered to help us with this. She has contacted the IRS and was told that we need a Charter and a “parent organization” for the group. She is currently getting EINs for the schools that need them and is also looking into state regulations. She will be reporting back with further information

Kindergarten forms will also be available in the office or at registration. Each box will include a coupon for a free book through scholastic, and also a $5.00 Target gift card. We expect to see a profit from these sales of approximately $425.00.
